The last thing you want to do in a struggling economy is add another bill to the already formidable pile. However, you’d do anything to ensure that your family and home are well protected against potential intruders and other emergencies. A home alarm system is a simple solution to your current dilemma. It provides top-quality home security at an affordable monthly cost that can fit within any budgetary means. Discover how well and how low a cost you can secure your family and home’s safety.
The Basic Features
Three Points Protection. Every home alarm system comes with the three points protection feature. It guards your home at three different entry points, and in the event that either of them are forced, your alarm is triggered.
Infrared Motion Detectors. Within the basic system, you can also take advantage of infrared motion detectors. When you are away from home, this feature detects any activity within. Have pets? Don’t worry—you can actually install their height and weight within the system to let them roam the house while you’re gone without triggering the alarm.
Keychain Access. The keychain access gives you complete control over your home alarm system. It looks much like the keychain access to your car and allows you to arm and disarm your home security system from any room in the house as well as from up to 50 feet away.
Battery Backup. Your home alarm system will work to safeguard your family even when the power is out. With battery backup, your system continues to monitor your home through the three points protection and infrared motion detector features.
Window Decal/Yard Sign. Though these features may seem insignificant, they’re actually the first phase in home security. These simple signs indicate to potential intruders that your home is well protected and that if broken into, the local authorities are immediately on their way.
All of these phenomenal features make it seem as if a home security system would escape the budgetary means of the “average Joe.” However, home alarm systems have never before been so affordable. The basic system, which includes all of the mentioned features, is just $34.99 a month. This is the equivalent cost of taking the family out to dinner or to the movies once a month. Furthermore, packages that include other features such as two-way voice access and cell phone notification come at just $44.99 a month.
In addition to these packages, you can further customize your home security with add on sensors. They include:
Carbon monoxide detectors
Smoke and heat sensors
Freeze sensors to detect freezing pipes
Flood detectors that trigger the alarm at the first sign of flooding
When considering a home alarm system, you want to ensure that you’re investing in superior quality. However, at a time like this, you don’t want to add any extra costs that could potentially break the bank. Fortunately, home security systems come with a plethora of features that guarantee your home and family’s safety at a price that’s wallet friendly.

Your House Should Have a Home Security System of Some Kind
Since the world’s statistics of criminals is rising, we all strive to feel safe in our home. We would all like to enjoy vacationing without worrying if our home is safe and secure. Let’s face it, we work too hard to earn our material belongings-therefore, it is only common sense that the majority of us would enjoy uninterrupted security and peace of mind. According to national statistics, homes are broken EVERY SINGLE DAY, and most homes are violated while the family is on vacation, or away from their home. It only makes sense, most criminals would rather get in and get out quickly, rather than face potential risks, such as human encounters.
Since the statistics are increasing technology, designers are working hard each day to help us find the level of security we need. For this reason technology designers has invented home security systems, deadbolts, fire alarms, CO alarms (Carbon Monoxide Alarms), etc. In fact, today, you can have card operated door locks installed on your home. In other words, you use something similar to a credit card. Once you insert the card into your door lock, the system reads the digits on the card, and authorizes permission to enter the home. We see this common device at many hotels or related environments today. In fact, the United States Government uses similar alarms in various sectors.
By installing a home security system, this could significantly reduce the odds of your home being burglarized. Online you will find a wide selection of home security devices. The devices mainly offer you feature, such as push button call. In other words, you merely push a single button, which the system will kick in and call the police and/or fire department for you. If you have trouble getting around, the security system is not, a better choice. However, you may look online for remote controlled home security devices. The push buttons however do offer advantages, since a live voice will respond to the push of one button. You might check out Intercom Devices to learn more about such features.

A home security system isn’t just for citizens in high-crime areas. A security system may be a good choice for suburban homes where the whole neighborhood seems to empty during the day. A home security system equipped with a good camera can do a lot for your house. You can use it to see who is at the door before opening, you can keep an eye on driveways to watch vehicles and equipment and most importantly you can check on any trespassers. A home security system can save you money on your homeowner’s insurance costs.

Home security systems are easy to install nowadays. Since you are merely purchasing the device after which a company will send out workers to install, test, and prep you on the use of your home security system. Ultimately, you can purchase wireless kits, which you can install on your own. Be sure to read the manual carefully to make sure the device is installed properly. Don’t forget to test your system regularly, dust, and replace parts as needed.
The one thing you should do when searching for a home security system is to find the RIGHT system for you. A variety of companies online offer systems that fit your lifestyle. In addition, the companies will help you choose the best system that fits your needs. Most basic home security systems include motion sensors, photocells, sound detectors, window and door alarms, wireless systems, etc. The lights are great, since motion lights will typically scare away the average criminal.
Criminals that are more dramatic however may require extensive threats, such as the interior alarms, which monitor intruders inside the home.
The alarms have panic switches, motion sensors, noise detection, light beams, etc. Many alarms today include light beams, which if someone triggers the beam, it will automatically send out a photoelectric beam. You can also add pressure mats to your doorstep, which if someone steps on the mat, it would instantly alert you. You will have the option of installing Perimeter Alarms as well. The alarms will send a warning, such as (Siren, or Bell alert) when someone steps on your doorstep. Burglars of all sorts would definitely take flight. Lastly, if you are searching for a ‘complete’ home security, make sure to check the internet for comparable products and services.

Are there any home alarm systems that are cheap?
Our house has been broken into twice and attempted once in the last 6 months. Time to get an alarm system.
But, we have two problems…
1. We are near broke.
2. We have no home phone line.
Does anyone know a company that will do free installation of a system with a low monitoring fee? (like $10-15 / month) and any phone services that will provide a minimal landline near the same price?
Please let me know if you have any suggestions!
All answers are appreciated.
No one was home when the house was broken into – and it seems to happen in the daytime (as we are there at night). One day the basement (Outdoor entrance) lock was messed up and it looked like someone tried to get in. Another time the upstairs window (which was cracked in middle of summer) was open and screen was removed. Cat was outside and everything was rummaged through. And again yesterday, cracked storm window and opened only window on 1st floor with no lock. Rummaged through everything – took two inexpensive drills – and left back door open. Footprints in snow show that they looked around our pole barn but nothing really was gone.
DVD players, Playstation II, over 100 DVDs etc. were all left.
No money or jewelry kept there.
And we will be getting a dog in the spring.

Prudent security firms always advise their customers to implement quality security alarm system in their homes and offices. There is no better way to secure your home, assets, valuables and the people you care about than having a security alarm system. It will give you 24 hours of security all year round.
One of the many benefits homeowners or business owners can get from installing a security alarm system is that it they may see significant rate reductions to their homeowner’s/property insurance. Moreover, they will have a peace of mind when they have the knowledge that their property is protected. Because installing a security alarm system is sometime best left to professionals, security guard companies can often provide the installation, regardless of where it’s needed. The same security guard companies can also provide monitoring services for the new alarm system for your home and office, and can also identify and confront intruders. Security alarm systems can be programmed in a variety of ways. Those within the alarmed location can set the alarm and stay protected inside the location, or the system can be set to guard the location when the inhabitants are away.
Security guard companies offer a wide selection of security monitoring packages that will suit your security needs, which come in equally varying terms, monthly costs and equipment features. Security alarm system companies, that both manufacture and sell their products, offer their clients a certificate for reduced rates to homeowner’s insurance. It is quite possible to have a system installed, and at the same time, benefit from savings in the 10-15 percent range, on their policy. And even though there is basically an initial investment for the alarm system and monthly fees, homeowners can recoup funds through additional savings.
Security alarm system packages usually include an alarm, plus control pad as customary equipment, but there are also many security alarm system add-ons, which are worth taking into consideration. The control panel of an alarm system is a device, which controls all the aspects of the package you have chosen. These are professionally installed in areas where it cannot easily be seen to prevent the device from being compromised in the event of a crime. The costs of a security alarm service will vary drastically from one security guard company to another. Additionally, variation can be expected when you consider the type of package you select, and its corresponding add-ons. Learn To Find The Right Security Camera
Before you buy a home security camera you need to do some planning. You have to find out the demands you have to the system. Like with professional thievery protection systems and terrorist protection, home security cameras also need to be thought trough before you go down to your local security shop or spend your money on the internet.
The simplest systems are set up at the front door so you can see who is standing there when the doorbell rings. They provide the comfort that comes in viewing the person or persons who are knocking at your door before you open it and let them in.
If you have a little more money to spend, you can buy a more advanced model with video and two-way audio system. This way it is possible to ask the person to show some kind of identification to the camera, before you are letting them in.
So when you have cleared your demands according to if you need two-way audio, you have to decide if you like the camera connected to some kind of recording device. Or if the ability just to see people is enough for you.
So even though you only have one entrance, there are needs to be addressed. If you just need a simple camera, you can buy a kit with all the features that covers the need you have.
The next question you have to ask before you purchase a system is: do I want a home security camera at any other entrances or possible entrances to my home? There are systems that install a camera in your driveway or in your garage, wherever you normally park and exit from your car.
Some of cameras offer motion detection on/off switches also connected to lighting systems so as soon as you drive up, the camera and lights all turn on simultaneously.
If anyone is lurking around in the driveway; ready to steal your car or attack you, they will certainly be scared away the minute the automatic system turns on the light and the camera. No one wants to be recorded in full light doing something illegal.
The final factor you have to plan before you buy the camera is the power source. You have to have the right power source near the camera, monitor and switch to make the security camera system operates properly.
It is possible to buy battery-operated systems, but then you have to keep the batteries, which can be very time consuming. So it is better to locate the nearest power source and see, if it is usable compared to where you want to place the cameras and other equipment.

Home Security Driveway Alarms
Isn’t it true that we all want to live in a home where there is high security? Don’t we all want to go to sleep with no fear of being attacked at night by criminals? Don’t we sometimes feel that we need to know what is happening out in the compound so that we won’t be caught by surprise by the events of the night time? Well, if you can feel and identify with me, then I think we would be on the right track to look at some of the security devices that we can make use of to dispel all these fears.
Let us think of the drive way mostly. It is the path way that leads right up to our doorstep and this being the case, we need to feel that it is safe and no intruder is approaching our house. This is where the home security driveway alarms come in.
There are different types of driveway alarms that you can invest in, but before so doing, you will require to have all the necessary information about the specifications of the devices, their efficiency and effectiveness. More so, your decision will also be pegged on the prices of the same. For this reason it is highly recommendable that you do a lot of window shopping before making any decision.
One more thing during the purchase is to ensure that you will be given warranty for the alarms, just in case they break down sooner than later and fail to deliver. When you have them installed correctly, you will be saved a great deal from the frequent surprises of unannounced visitors because you will be able to monitor your driveway.

Only you Can Prevent Home Business Scamming
‘Work At Home’ and ‘Home Business’ have become the Buzz words of internet marketing. With 200,000-300,000 hits per month according to Yahoo’s keyword search tool “Overture,” there is little doubt that the ‘home based business’ is all the rage on the internet. With worldwide computer usage continuing to grow exponentially, 1.8 billion users projected by 2010 compared to 1.08 billion in 2005, according to Computer Industry Almanac, internet marketing has positioned itself to provide a home business opportunity for everyone. But with so many ‘Work At Home’ and ‘Home Business’ offers, the newbie must use ‘caveat emptor’ (buyer beware) when looking to start their own home based business.
What measures can the future home business entrepreneur take when traversing the abyss of home business opportunity? Let us look at some of the basic things a future ‘work at home’ or ‘home based business’ owner can do to avoid being scammed by the savvy internet marketing crowd.
Several home based businesses have proven themselves to be legitimate over the years and have been proven to return the home business owner/operator a genuine income. These home business opportunities can be looked up and verified on the internet through the BBB Internet Website. But what if your chosen ‘Work At Home’ business is not listed with the BBB?
If the home based business you are investigating requires an investment of over $500.00, then you should check with the State Business Agency of that State which the home business is located, to be sure that the business is registered with the State, as required by law. If the Home Business opportunity is not registered, then you should do your diligent duty and report said home business, as a courtesy to fellow internet marketers. There are plenty of legitimate ways to make money on the internet, why allow a scammer to swim in our pond and dirty up the water?
If the home business opportunity requires only minimal investment, your next step in your internet home business investigation is via the numerous vigilante ‘home business’ watchdog organizations that proliferate the internet. You may notice that ‘Google ads’ for assistance in determining the good ‘Work At Home’ and ‘Home Business Opportunities’ from the bad, seem to swarm around any area that discusses a home based business, like gnats hovering over ripe bananas. Remember this…Anyone paying for you to click through to their site to help you decide, has their own agenda. Unless of course, it is a Public Service site, an excellent place to ascertain the legitimacy of a Work At Home/Home Business.
But what if the home business opportunity is so new, that it has not been viewed by many internet marketers, and one of its ‘selling features’ is the fact that quick action is required to get in at the beginning?
Two ‘Home Business” alarms should be going off in your head at this point: 1. If the home business opportunity is sound, then it inherently must be long lasting; reminds me of the old adage, “Flash In The Pan,” from Revolutionary War days. 2. If you are feeling anxiety of urgency to start home based business immediately – Warning – This is one of the oldest internet marketing tactics in the internet home based business. Although remember, the ultimate draw of the home business is its historical nature to reward the earliest members of an internet marketing home business, substantially more income than later members, because of the mathematical facts of MLM.
A final aspect to identify a truly profitable ‘work at home business,’ is to determine if the home based business presents multiple streams of income. People’s desires and fascinations for whatever tickles their fancy at the moment, is not something to build your future on. Having only one or two items whose sales incur the bulk of your income, is like building your home business on a pile of sand. The ideal work at home business provides several diverse programs that not only provide immediate home business opportunity, but also offers residual internet business income down the road.
In conclusion; research, calculated approach, and common sense are what is required when choosing the best home based business, also these are the keys to avoid a home business scam. Often a quick and prudent check of a home business opportunity can be accomplished by typing the Home Business Name in quotes, into a popular search engine browser, along with the word scam outside the quotes: “home business name” scam. This has been a most efficient way to gain information on a work at home business, and gain knowledge of negative/positive feedback of any new home based opportunity through internet marketing blogs. That is one of the saving graces of the internet; its ability to broadcast valuable information equally and quickly.
